Economic Unrest
66As the economy begins to unwind and the markets start to fail, people will begin to worry and in some cases panic. Many people believe that the economy is now in a death dive that we cannot recover from and that this is the end of the world as we know it.
It is true that our economy and that of the world is in a very precarious position. It would be foolish to say otherwise and even the most economically challenged individuals can clearly see that we are in some trouble. But the question is, should we be in panic mode?
If we look back through history we can see that economic hardships are nothing new and we have survived them in the past. We can survive just about anything if we use our brains and not let panic direct us into foolish paths. Just like a camper in the woods who is lost should sit down and collect their thoughts, we too need to think before we jump.
As some of you know I have been a big proponent of the survival mindset for quite some time now and I feel that this is a great example of how having this mind set is extremely important. What will you do if the economy goes down the drain and you no longer have the ability to buy food? How exactly do you expect to provide for your family when or if hard times do hit us very soon? You need a plan and you need to put that plan into action as soon as possible.
The first thing I think we need to remember is that we should not listen to other people when they tell us that we don't need to worry about anything and that everything will be ok. We should not let someone bother us when they say we are crazy for buying a few extra cans of food at the store or when we stock away a case of bottled water. Just because someone says you don't need to worry doesn't mean that it is true.
There seems to be a large number of people out there who think that no matter what happens, someone else will take care of us. Do you believe that the government will provide you with food, water and shelter if we hit an economic brick wall? Do you believe that they would even be capable of doing so?
For those who have not begun to take this issue seriously, you should at least ask yourself if you know for a fact that you will survive if something horrible happens. If you can honestly answer yes, do nothing. If you can't, maybe it is time to begin stocking away the things that you may need if all hell breaks loose.
Do I believe that this country is going to die? No, this country will survive anything that gets thrown at it. It may not be the same as it is now but it will always be here in some form. The issue is what will we do to survive from now to the time when things even out and get better.
