When one thinks of the government there is usually one of two mindsets that a person has. The first is that the government is there to help us and that without the government we would be screwed. The second mindset usually believes that the government is full of immature fools who make laws and rules for “we the people” to follow while the government lives by their own rules. Which mindset do you follow?
There comes a time in every person’s life when they have to ask themselves about the government and figure out where they stand. With decreasing government spending on important projects such as road repair, criminal justice, care for the poor and other programs, and with taxes being tripled, one has to ask themselves what is actually going on. We pay into a system that is slowly but surely not pulling its weight and obviously is not using the money they take from us to fund these important things. Our tax money now goes to paying off debt that the government has let get out of control.
Of course there are going to be those people out there that blame this on either the republicans or the democrats but maybe it is time that we stop blaming one party or the other and just blame the whole entire government for their complete inability to do anything right. While I know this may upset some “pro-government” people, we need to be logical and understand that “we the people” have absolutely no say in what our corrupt government is doing these days. Actually we have not had control of the government for a very long time.
Why is it that when someone is running for political office they seem to understand that they work for us “the people” yet when they get into office they act as though we are their slaves and we must do what they tell us to do or we will be in big trouble? It is so simple to watch the transformation from the candidate who acts all caring to the elected that act like dictatorial asses and completely disregard the will of the people.
Another strange component of this whole story is you and I. We elect these morons and when they pull this dictatorial maneuver on us we just sit back and do nothing, or we just discuss it with friends and family and say how upset we are. The government knows that this is what we do and because of this, they know that nobody is going to call them out on their criminal activity. A great example of this is social security. We the people pay into social security and most of us will probably never see that money. The government has their own “social security” type plan and their plan is a thousand times more fruitful than ours. They will be getting their money no matter what because we are the ones stuffing the money in the bag. How is this fair and why exactly do we all just sit back and let these people get away with it? Look at me for example, here I am ranting and raving about it with written words and once my rant is over, I will most likely sit back and feel a little better that I cleared the air, yet it really did nothing to help the issue.
Is this why people leave great jobs that pay millions of dollars to take government jobs that pay a lot less? Are the benefits that they get by stealing from you and I that much better? I am guessing that must be the case because this happens a lot. A good number of the presidential candidates of the past have been pretty wealthy.
This is going to sound a bit crazy and well, maybe it is but there has to come a time when we the people stand up against these tyrannical government slugs and make it completely clear that we are the ones who make the rules and if they don’t start listening to us they will be thrown out of office and living in a homeless shelter. See how they like it to be “milked” to death by high taxes and no benefits for the hard work that they do. See how they like it to be a “citizen” again who can’t pay the bills. Too many government people are so out of touch with reality that it is almost comical. I say almost because with so many people hurting from the decisions that our government makes, it is impossible to laugh about it. It would be more appropriate to cry at what our government is doing to this country.
On a side note, this has nothing to do with republicans or democrats or even independents, this has to do with all government and how all of them have lost touch with reality. We the people have the responsibility to set these people straight but the question is how and when are we going to actually stand together and get these out of touch buffoons on the right track.
Well there you go, my rant about government corruption. While I do feel better about my written rant, I have a feeling we will be in the same place tomorrow. Slaves to the government.
